07 m8 snow pro 153" pros and cons

Looking to buy this sled it has 2200 miles. I live in Utah and like to ride in the trees. Is this a good sled for that? Any info on this sled would be great. Thanks in advance.

the 07

is 30 lbs heavier than the 09, the 07 has a chitty Track. you need a 2.25' powerclaw at least, mechanical reverse usually has issues, sled also needs 09 tunnel mod

Dont listen to Av8er..... Yes what he said is true, but to answer your quesiton yes they are good sleds! It is a fun chassis that works good in the mountains. Personally I believe they are the best moutain chassis not including the newest 3 chassis Pro Rmk, XM, and Proclimb. So they are the best chassis for the price range I guess you could say. Yes they could use some work to become better but so could any other sled, id say if your just starting it would be a perfect sled for you, and from the sounds of it you are upgrading and im willing to bet if you are looking at this sled its because its better then what you had before.

Save your money, get an 09+. You will be a lot happier. 07s had problems with the bulkhead cracking near the coolers. Upgrade a couple years to an 09 at the very least. With an 09 snopro you get the powerclaw track, adjustable steering post, engine reverse (much better than mechanical) better tunnel, float skid (08 had the float as well but shock valving was less than desirable) and with an slp pipe kit they can run right with a stock 2010 HO. You can find nice 09 snopros for like 4800 bucks..

I have an 07 I was very happy with. I also have a 10.
I did have the bulkhead crack near the front cooler behind the clutches and the rubber bumper for the diamond drive. Be sure to looks for cracks starting to form in that area.
Be sure to go trough your diamond drive every year no matter what year cat you get none of them are perfect. I am currently replacing a bearing on my 10 m8 diamond drive so none of them are perfect.
If the 07 has an updated track and float skid like mine did and its a snow pro then just throw on the slp pipe kit and it works great. You can get the 07 for a grand or more less than the 10 or 11 so its all up to you.

I personally wouldnt pay anything more than 3500 for an 07. There are standard 09 m8 snopros all over for 5000. I picked up another 09 snopro m8 this summer for 4800 with 1800 miles on it.

I agree with arctic. on the price point. As well you can get the H.O. motor for around 4500 -5500 as well. I picked up my 10 last spring for 3500 but it needed a clutch. I have a buddy that got a 10 m8 last winter for 4700. Deals can be had if you can find them. most clean 10 m8s are 5500 though
