The bushing in my driven clutch floating sheave (inboard sheave that is opened by the helix) is pretty scarred. This is the part that rides on the stationary sheave shaft, and is made from a non-metal material. The stationary sheave shaft is fine. Can’t seem to find the culprit, and when I showed it to my dealer, he thought it could be belt dust??? I had it apart last year, but am sure I fully cleaned it before reassembly.
Regardless, I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this, and figured out a fix besides buying a new driven clutch. Arctic Cat sells only the driven clutch, and not just the sheave. It looks like the bushing was pressed in by the factory, and could be removed if someone sold a replacement.
Based on what I found, I need to deal with this soon.
