I posted this in the swapmeet section also but I thought you guys might have one or two of these items laying around your shop. I just bought a 07 M1000. I guess the guy that I bought it from ran it with y pipe and no fuel controller. He didnt bother to tell me that when I bought it. Needless to say now I need 1 cylinder, 1 piston, and 1 head. If any of you guys have one for cheap please let me know.
Thanks for your help. UE

soon to be m1000 for sale?

Probably would spend the extra $$ if you are going to keep it around or sell it on here. If you are planning on selling it to a in-law or "Buddy" there is a guy on here trying to part out a perfectly good sled that he could not sell so now he is parting it out. I think it is in this forum.

Can't imagine that a y-pipe alone did this. I thought the 07's were way to rich to start with and didn't need a controller with just a y-pipe. I am running an 08 with y,single, can with no controller, 800 miles and no issues...

PM racinstation for a rebuilt cylnder I think they are around 200 bucks. What happened to the head that warrants repacement? I would recommend repacing both pistons, It's not that much more money or work. You'll be glad you did it!

a buddie rebuilt one twice, did everything right except check tolerance and both times it didn't make it more than 5 mile before it scuffed the piston. I would have a reputable dealer do it for the warranty factor. All the dealers I know will warranty for 30 days, so do it when you can ride it.

Thanks for the help guys. I would love to buy new and have my dealer do the work but with money being REALLY tight on my end, the dealer that has my sled now wants 860$ to fix it. I just cant come up with that much.

smoothdawg, the dealer said that because of the detenation (sp?) it had pitted the head pretty bad.

Knzee, I have had several arctic cat mechanics tell me that once you add anything other than a can you had better run a box or you are asking for trouble and that is what caused mine to burn down.

Again thanks for your help everyone.
