07 m1000 clutch problems??

Was riding yesterday came off a jump when i landed sled slowly came down in rpms before dying. clutch is stuck all the way open and wont go back in. It started a couple times and belt bounced around. now cant get it back to where i can even pull rope to start it. Any ideas anyone???

If it is a 4 post primary the spyder may be broken.

dont know much about clutches to say the least. It does have 4 weights so I am guessing that's the same clutch?

Same thing happened to my 07 M1000 then a week later my buddies went.. and yep 4 ramp primary and we both split the spyder in two.

Time for a new three ramp clutch.

where is the spyder braking? im going to take mine apart and clean it up and check it out and look for sings of cracks so I would like to know where to look.

Typically it will crack at the threads.

i pulled mine out and it is cracked right down the middle. almost cracked completely in half. Good thing I have a spare clutch for this. Does anyone know if/where you can get a spyder for these things at? Would like to fix this one and use as a back up.

stm makes a billet spider - not sure about cost. Hope this helps.

STM is the only place that you can get a spyder from. The new upgrade from Cat is the 3 clutch. Thats what we put on our two here that we split the spyders on.

$305 for the spider. Kind of pricey. But man they look good.

Anyone running one of these spiders? What kind of miles are you getting out of them?
