07 Dragon

i have heard rumors that the clutch will burn up on the 07 if you dont vent it, any suggestions or opinions, where can i get a inexpensive white mesh vent for it?

Venting helps keep things cool, but it is a band aid to completely control heat. Work on a good clutching setup and then add venting to help things out.

You are ahead to buy a vent instead of making one. Look up Holz and SLP. Both make a great vent for that sled. I am running the Holz vents.

Dirtyryder, listen to milehighassassin, good clutch setup is key not just adding a vent. I've had my 07D7 since the fall of 06 and have no side panel venting and never had an issue with clutch temps. I ride in Alaska where we don't see temps in the 30's or wet slushy snow that can add to your temps. Proper clutch set-up is the most important, then a quality vent that won't allow snow, tree branches, water, etc into the belt and clutch (don't use an inexpensive home made mesh vent that will just add to your frustrations).

ok, i just bought the sled so i havent had a chance to check the clutch adjusment yet. it does have vents where polaris usualy puts the gill style vents, some one cut those out and put a mesh vent there, if i get the clutch set up right should i need more venting or would that be enough?
