07 dragon wiring issue .. I think.. Please help!!

I just got an 07 dragon cfi last year. I have only taking it around my yard for the most part. It's got 1300 miles and 125psi in both Cly. It seems to run good when it does but sometimes it just shuts down with no warning after it warms up but let it cool down for a couple mins and it fires back up. I have replaced the voltage regulator with a used one so who knows supposedly it was off a good working sled. When at idle it's usually fine the rpms are typically at 1400-1650. Sometimes randomly go lower and at that point the gauges shut off and the engine eventually shuts off. I have also disconnected the kill switch hand, warmers, and thumb kill. Still same. I also checked the cdi for melt points and Frey wires. Seems good. I don't know if I should try the stator or where to go from here. I have also checked the bellows and springs. Both seem good.
Not sure where to go from here. It seems like people have gone through similar situations. I like the sled and would hate to have to trade it in but I need it to be reliable.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

I would check the TPS adjustment first because idle speed should be more consistent. The next thing would be to check wiring to the stator again for fraying.

Double check the TPS.. adjustment.. and Idle setting...

Even just cleaning out the Throttle Bodys.. It will help..

I'll check both.. What's the easiest way to check the tps? I've seen quite a few ways to do it. From power commanders to 9v battery's . And what wires from the stator should I check. I was just running the sled outside at idle at first idle was kinda up and down after feathering the gas it went to 1400 and stayed consistent. I took the belt plate off and the vr was pretty warm to the touch. Not sure if that's normal or not. Have also heard of people disconnecting the ecu from the vr to prevent blowing the ecu .

There is a big bundle of wires coming up from the stator to the ECU connectors. Mine (2010) are encased in a sleeve for protection but I'm not sure on the 2007 year. You could look back towards the stator by opening the connectors at the ECU and measure resistance on wires and wiggle wiring harness to see if anything fluctuates. Manual can be downloaded on this thread. It's kind of hard to see the harness down by the stator so that is why I suggest reading resistance values. Look under Chapter 12 2007 600/700 CFI Engine Harness for resistance values.

07 dragon

I have a 08 700,I have that same issue, Mine will also start limiting rpms after it gets warm, Here is what I have done and still can not get it to run.
1) rebuilt exhaust valves
2) replaced hand warmers,
3)replaced coolant temp sender
4)Replaced exhaust temp sensor.
5Cleaned and inspected reeds.
6)changed spark plug wires.
7) Changed plugs
8)changed voltage regulator and resistor
9)changed coils.
10) I had my local dealer try to fix it they had it for a day and said the TPS was out of adjustment and it needed a new drive belt. $400 dollars later the sled runs the same and I am trying to fix. Please let us know if you get it fixed.

Thank you
