07 600 rmk mileage!

Just bought an 07 600 rmk 155 for my nephew and 08 700 dragons for my wife and me. Went riding this weekend and found that the 600 really uses the gas! 9 gallons a day compared to about 6 gallons a day in the dragons!
7 hours of pretty steady mountain riding each day.
Is this normal?

Yep, that is what I get with mine. About 9 miles to the gallon.

sounds about right to me aswell. it's still an improvement over older RMK's i've had over the years. it's that darn right thumb!

i used to have a 305 c.i. boat........ended up burning as much fuel as a 454 multi-port i later had.....in the pow, you are into more throttle on the 6 to get the same power as a 7, etc.... plus the fuel injection of the 7 helps. my stock 6 used a bit of fuel last year if we were in the deep stuff. trail riding it was better than the rest.

The 6 does like the fuel. Its not as bad as it seems though. I had some fuel issues so I drained my tank and started with 5 gl. of fresh 110. It did not even register on the float, it still showed empty on my shop floor.

Check your jetting, mine was jetted very rich from the dealer per Polaris specs. I've leaned it out quite a bit, but yes it does use more than my wife's 08 700 RMK w/cfi.
