06 Summit X 800 Carb Removal

Any tricks to getting the carbs out. I am having an hanging rpm issue and want to adjust the air screw and see if that helps but I can not reach the screws to know how far they are in or out. I wanted to take the carbs out so I can make sure they are same. I have the secondary off, the air box out but I can't seem to get the carbs out. I have the hose clamps loosened on the boots. Any tricks let me know.

They should come off start pulling, If you find that your Rpms still hang up After Adjusting the Screws, try a 20 pilot Jet it will bring the rpms down.

K i belive they are heated carbs. So take your radiator cap off and put it back on. (Its susppose to create some vacuum. I dont know if it helps or not) Close your heated carb valve(its red you cant miss it). Take your trottle and choke cables off and lossen the clamps on the boots. Im not too sure what you got in there for DPM stuff but disconnect the hoses that are in the way and make sure you know where they go lol. Now youll have to pull the coolant lines going to the carbs (this gets messy) there is 2 lines. pull the line off closest to the clutches and have somethin to plug it off. then take off the other line and plug it with a bolt. then they pretty much should be out. Thats I have been doin it but there are most likely better ways of doing this procedure. Good Luck!
