06 Summit Handwarmer problem

Problem is the warmer on the throttle side of the bar works on low and does not work when turned to high, both low and high works on the other side. Any one have any ideas. Need to no what to do to fix this when I go up in March for my ride. Thanks in advance.

I am no expert but I have changed out a couple of sets one on an 06 freestyle (three wire)and on my 09 summit(two wire). I would assume you have a three wire set up, orange, orange purple and black, I would trace your wires out to the pin blocks that sit on the bar risers and check for continuity. My bad grips showed open.

My 06 Rev Adrenalin 800 has a 3 wire system like outlined by XXL above, go figure.

That said, the solution may be the same, you can spend time pulling your grips, and testing the continuity of the wires (but I'm just not good with a volt meter so I don't) or just go buy a new aftermarket set of grip heaters and put just one on the "bad" side and then you've got a spare. Of course you should check the connectivity of the pins where the grip heater wires join the sleds wiring harness before doing anything else just in case it's that simple I just never seem to be that lucky to have the simple fix :face-icon-small-sad.

I just bought a used 06 Rev 800HO and the hand warmers don't work on high or low. One grip even has a small hole in it like the circut burned out.
Just wondering what aftermarket warmers to get and where you get them.
Thanks.

I'm having the same problem with my Rev, an 06 800ho. Mine has three wires. the L grip also had a hole and after dissecting the grip i found the circuit burn through. dont know how it happened. i bought aftermarket circuit replacements and new standard ATV grips. I think the repair will be a breeze, haven't done it yet. I will keep you posted.
