06 Summit 800 flashing engine light

Hey Guys,

So my brother is having some problems and I figured I would ask here.

He has an 06 summit 800 and the engine light flashes when he winds it up to over 7000 RPM. Once it starts flashing it does not stop until he shuts the sled off. The sled still runs fine the only thing is the engine light flashes. He thought maybe it was an over speed alarm and set the quick clickers to 1 and can only squeeze out 7600 and it still does it. He set the clickers to get 8200 out of it again and has been using it like this without any ill effects. Any ideas on the cause and a solution.

I have the same problem on my 07. But it does it from start up. It has been doing since the dealer put my new motor in. Seems to run fine though 150 miles running perfect. I will be at the dealer next week. I will see if i can get an answer.

make sure air box scensor is plugged in. Mine did that and the computer put it in limp mode so i didn't damage anything.
