06 summit 1000

OK so i picked up a 1000 summit and it has an aftermarket can on it, but it has no bung on it for exhaust probe. my question is will it run fine and have no issues without it or should i just weld a bung on it and call it a day.

If you just bought it why don't you call the other owner and ask him what he did. Must have ran fine for him not to tell you other wise.

got it with the motor apart, typical crank problem, and i would rather not deal with the sketchy guy anymore

Get it reflashed with the 07 mid map and you won't need the egt sensor. More often than not they just created issues. The MachZ's run them though.

Pretty sure Summit's didn't come with sensors, at least my 05 didn't. I also run the 07 map... good stuff

They did to start with then the dealers started pulling them off, some got missed though.
