Have a 06 600 w-Carls 660 kit in it, if not in deep snow I have a hard time keeping the sled cool. I have Ice scratcher's on the rails and am considering adding a set to the front of rails and to the ski's as well. Cools off great when I get in the deeper snow but heats up quite fast on any kind of hard-pack. Currently have a 2.5 inch 151 track on the sled if this helps. This Forum is great and appreciate all the helpful people on it.

Cooling

You might also try some Water Wetter. I hear it drops the temp 5-10 degrees. Also make sure the thermostat isn't going away. I have the 660 in a ProX with a U cooler and is cools fine with a single set of scratchers on the hard pack.

How did you replumb your radiator delete? On my 06 that I converted to a 151, I just plugged off the fitting on the head and at the bottle and took it easy until the stat opened up. If you ran a hose from the head to the bottle, you probably created part of the heating issue.

I have ONE of THESE for an IQ that I never used. Not sure if it will work on an 06, never been under one. If it would I would make a good deal on it. X2 on water wetter, saw a noticable improvement. Good luck. EW

are you too lean? Mine never gets over 130 even after 15 miles on the hardpack trail. No scratchers and 2500 miles on my hyfax's.

I am running a snow-flap, will try some water wetter, and am going to check the jetting on the sled. Thank you for all the help.

Rick, can you clarify what you meant by plugging the hose opening at the head and on the bottle. I am not at the sled right now but if I am not mistaken both of these openings are necessary for circulation. I do appreciate your input and am willing to try anything right now.
