06 Handlebar Risers

I know I have asked a lot of questions about my new sled recently on this forum, but I have one more:D I want to know if I can put a handlebar riser on top of the 7 inches (stock) I already have? And if so, how much before I have to have brake and throttle cable extenders? Any help would be great!

Yes , 3" is about max befor things get to tight. Oh and I would put the on the bottom. :D

I second the question...why on bottom? The next question is, what would be better, just buying a three inch riser or replacing the whole thing with the ten inch riser from ski-doo? The cost for the ski-doo one is double the cost of the riser, but I don't want any problems. Any suggestions?

If you want to do it the right way, then I would suggest getting a single riser. Powermadd probably has a quality riser for cheaper than the skidoo one.

And before you buy the riser you can check to see if your cables are long enough by cutting a 2x4 to the proper length and just slipping it in place of the riser. I believe most riser heights are measure from the the center of the T post to cent of the handle bar bar.
