Purchased this sled a couple months ago and am just getting a chance to really ride it. It will pull fairly consistantly 8400 to 85 and 86 R's is this right? This is at 5000' which is where I live and will be riding primarily between 7000 and 10000". By the way I love the sled, it flat out rocks!

on my o6 with the 660 i found it worked good around 82-8300 with the single slp pipe. I used a almond primary spring, a cat roller seconday with green spring and a 53-44 helix. 58-60g weights depending on elevation. hope this helps. yes these motors really rip.

Youre around McCall aren't you? Riding at home around on the flats and packed conditions you'll see that 8600 settling to 8400 8500. Leave it alone unless that is how and where you are wanting to enjoy that sled and then you could get a faster buggy by loading it up.

When you load the track or get up to normal McCall riding elevations 6000 to 7800 it will settle to 8200 all day long and be perfect. Once again...I'm guessing you haven't ridden it condition loaded or at alt yet and it will eat those 200 RPM's quickly...but be just about right. They feel awesome at 8500-8600 but you run it against another consistant sled or on a timer you have a slower vehicle from point a to point b when you over rev the powerband or free rev the powerband like that. Those motors need to be pulled down with weight and that tranfers into a better performing sled if all other factors are in line.

Remember it's a combo of the state of tune and the loading of the transmission that gives you these performance variables between both conditions and those 2000ft of alt. Most guys won't or aren't willing to rejet from one to the other so normally you set it up reliable and livable at low with a balance at the highest. There is a multi sled length performance difference when dialed dead on at both!

I live in Northern Utah but similar riding conditions. You are right I have not had the chance to load the track up yet. Still trying to break in my 08 and 09 Dragons after the update's. Thanks for all the info. guy's I just was not sure what to think.
