To tell the truth the SB was turned into an RMK before the first ride and was never driven stock. In addition to the 19/41 gears and the 2"x144 track, the RMK helix (56/42/36) was also added. The sled continues to rally hard (runs about 8300 rpm), very strong off the bottom and will top out abit over 80mph, where it runs out of "gearing". Hopes this helps out.
I did the same 19/41 but left the helix to SB set up. Lots of low end grunt. lost a bit on top. It is the right gearing. Coming off the mountains at the end of the day in Island Park topped out at 86 MPH 8250 -8300 rpm. I found the same results back home in Minnesota.
If you are running a 151x2 you would want 20/41 or lower. I run this on my stock 600ho. 144x1.25 when at 6000' or higher. I can still reach top speed in the mid 80s. There are several other factors to consider as well. The altitude you will be riding and also your weight makes a big difference. Mine pulls very strong at alts. of 10000' or more, but I am a light weight. A heavier person with a 151x2 should consider 19/42 or 43.This is what i need to know too. I have a 06 600ho switchback just put a 151x2 on it and I was thinking about grearing it. So stock is 22x39? How much a a diff. did it make on the trail and in the Moutains. Is there a 21x40? would it be worth it? with stock gearing I toped out at 98.
