05 temperature

[polaris all the way]

have 05 900, have front rad delete kit, scratchers and have installed new thermostat. running temps of 160+ with scratchers down and trail riding. also noticed that if start this sled and my 12 pro rmk that if they are both at 75 degrees when started that when 900 gets to 110 at idle the pro is only at 85-90. maybe the coolant temp sensor???? any ideas???

I think the "delete" kit is crap. it uses that restrictor, you are better off actually adding a bit of hose and truely putting the remaining coolers in series with each other, vs a restricted paralell set up

The newer threads regarding radiator delete say NOT to use the restrictor. That being said I tried the rad delete and it didn't work for me at all because I do a lot of hardpack and trail riding. I put the radiator back in and plumed it is series as you mentioned rather than how it came from the factory in parallel. It works great now. Occasionally I see temps at aor a little above 160 with scratchers but I'll simply go out in some powder and bring them back down.

My sled runs around 129 or so with scratchers going down the trail. I have the delete kit as well. One thing I did is I just replace my coolant and added the Water Wetter stuff to help keep the temps down...and it looks like it worked
