05 Summit twin pipe problems

I got a 05 summit with Ski Doo Racing Twin Pipes. What weight of pins do I run in my primary for higher elevation. I cant keep RPM's in 8000 feet and above and was told to run lighter pins. What gram do I use. Anyone know

Don't drop pin weight....drop the pipes. The HO doesn't like twins at high elevation. Those race pipes are real finiky up high. I had a set of Crank Shops which are much easier to tune....got a single DP pipe for this season.
If you HAVE to keep them try a higher finish primary spring...160/380 if your running the stock 160/350.

Is your motor ported?

No from my knowledge my motor is not ported. I talked to 3 or 4 people and they told me to run hollow pins with no set screws. I rode it in Cooke City and Bear Lodge and didnt run that well. Went on a late trip to the Black Hills and ran amazing. Beat an XP all to heck but in higher elevation RPM's fluctuated up and down from 6500-8000 when in deep powder and on the throttle hard. FRUSTRATING! My buddy with an 05 RMK 700 highmarked me, was not happy. I would like to keep the pipes. Any other suggestions?

I would go back to the stock pipe, it will likely make more usable power and be a better choice for high elevation. And don't the race pipes run at a higher RPM than the rev limiter will allow?
