05 rt 1000 oil?

In the process of rebuilding the motor, I was just wondering how much oil a typical 1000 uses on a tank of gas. Mine didn't use much i felt and now with the rebuild i think i was right. Just wondering?

I use alittle over 1/4 if you were to run it completly out but on a average 55 mile ride i use a 1/4

That is about what i use also, You think that is enough? All the guys i ride with there sleds use alot more oil. Granted they are 700 and 800's it just doesn't seam like enough. HAave you had to rebuilt yours yet? Only got 1800 on mine and a needle bearing on the crank went out

10 gallons and 1/4 tank of oil is 40:1 so perfect... mine is a tad over, but i dont mind.
