05 or 06? Identity crisis

$I have recently purchased what i thought and was told was a 06 RMK 900 151, it was a great friend of mine and i did get an awesome deal on it, but when i went to replace the lower control arms then new ones are an inch longer, now i understand there shorter on an o5 but are they as well on the 06 or was this sled registered wrong? any help will be nice thank you

If you have spindles that look like these than you have an 05 for sure. Doesn't always work for the other spindles because most people changed them.

You probably have the wrong A-arms, the Fusion and Switchback had a wider ski stance. Make sure that you ordered RMK A-arms.

Ok, then if his sled is Blue it will have a gold head. If it's blue it's an 05. If the graphic on the hood match the photo about it is at least an 05 hood. 06 has different graphics.

For the 06 the sidepanel will say "RMK Liberty 900"

For the 05 the sidepanel will say "RMK 900"

He now has 20 different ways to identify what it is...lol.

Guess he is not going to tell us though.

Must be the elusive 07 900!

Ah yes, the elusive 07 900. Note the front vents in the hood on my sled. This hood came from one of those 07 900's. Pretty interesting intake design they were going to come out with. Sort of a dual tube 'snorkel' design. I still have the intake tubes and was going to try to use them on this sled but they would not fit with the 09 front plastic.

To bad Polaris wussed out on that.......900 Pro RMK hmmmm!?

At least the 900's issues can be fixed with new parts... It's hard to fix the dragon's without fairly major engine work - pistons, cylinders, voltage regulators & ECU's popping without warning....
