05 Motor In a 06 Chassis???

I am in need of a motor for a 2006 RMK 900.
I have found many 05 motors, but will they fit into the 06 RMK chassis?
I was told the 06 have 4 injectors and the 05 has 2 injectors. Is there a differance between the RMK and the Fusion motors?
Any help woulf be great.

If you are going to put a 05 in a 06 chassie you will need to move the fuel line to get it to miss the steering shaft. The 06 fuel line (with 4 injectors) loop down to the bottom on the case and the injectors go staight in. The 05 injectors go in the case only and the right side at a angle. It will fit with a little bending of the tube. Now for the real problems you need to change the fuel pump, wire harness and computer. none of this will work.

As for the last question the fusion and rmk engine are the same thing.

How about if I use the 06 cylinders on the 05 bottom end? Can I reuse my fuel tube and injectors?

you can buy an 06 rmk 700 (755) motor..change the cylinders, pistons to the 900..everything else is the same..

just make sure you use your 900 ECU with matching injectors..or the 700 ECU reflashed

there is one one ebay (755)

Overall... not worth the hassle.... find a 2006 motor or have your existing one rebuilt.

There really is no inexpesive way to do and and have faith in the sled.

The 900's dont have much value to them unless yours is tricked out etc.

For the $3000 or so you will have into a motor and clutch with install parts...all said and done, you might be better off parting it out or selling it as a roller put the $3000 plus your sale price into a new sled.

Just my 2 cents.

AND... I'm a big fan of the 900's... ask around.
