05 Kingcat troubles

I've got an 05 KK EFI. SLP performance package and Boondocker box. Boondocker box reprogrammed last year. I run a mix of 25% 111 race to 91 premium for the few times I run nitrous.

Problem, during a longer pull(60-120 sec), it drops a cylinder (can see on EGT's), if you stop and let it idle for a few seconds, it takes off again just fine, then drops a cylinder again.

What I've tried. Reprogram boondocker box, hook up stock injector wiring, new plugs, isopropyl. Plugs look good, haven't checked wash.

Any ideas what to check next??

Thanks

Ignition.............

Are the wires and boots in good shape and staying on? I had a sparkplug boot problem with similar symptoms. Just a shot in the dark. Good luck-00's

the plug caps can be unscrewed from the wires, cut back about 1/2" and the re screw them back on, checking the inside of the caps to make sure the metal tab is still good and connected to the plug top and the cap. O and check the ground wire from the chassis and the stator.

Ground wires are good. Plug caps leave a black residue on the plugs. I will check the wires tomorrow. Thanks everyone, any other ideas??

Sounds like you could be running low on fuel pressure or a clogged screen. You use up the reserve that is already in the line and then can't pull new fuel fast enough. Usually the mag side will go down.

The mag side always does run a little hotter, but it seems like with the efi it is also the side that starves because of low fuel pressure. I don't know why that is the side that uaually starves out but I have seen several do it.

Had mine doing simular.... Not EFI but ended up being the voltage regulator... Would run strong and drop the mag side.... just another avanue to check out...

What's the easiest way to get at the screen in the tank?? Also, what should the fuel pressure be, and how hard is it to check?

Sled is thawing out in the shop, and will start troubleshooting tomorrow.

Thanks
