04 rmk detonation flash

well like the title says. i just bought a sled from a guy on here and my first ride out the nut for th recoil on pull start came off took out water pump belt and damaged pulley. fixed everything up now i keep getting detonation flash....anyone have any ideas of whats goin on?

I had the same sled, the det would flash if i was riding in low elevations as it leaned out a bit. I alway ran premium in it, if your not then i would suggest it. If thats not the case you might try jetting up. Also if you get to some really low elevations you can switch your gas setting to regular and it retards your timing a little bit which should help, when you go back up set it back to premium. also, i think the same light is used for water temp so remember that.
