My king just started running on 1 cylinder when idling. Some times it has to get almost to engagement rpm before the other side fires. Other then this it runs perfect! I changed plugs, no difference. I changed to a new cap, no difference.
It does it all day. When coasting down hill it is running on 1.

Now here is where it gets weird. I swapped the plug wires to the other cylinders, The issure stays with the mag side cylinder. So I test compression. The mag side has More ( like 5 psi) compression the the pto side. So... What is going on?

Have you pulled your carbs and cleaned all the jets and ports? Sounds like the pilot jet could be plugged. Only other thing that comes to mind is a bad reed. They don't need much of a chip in them and they don't seal good at low rpm.

Plugged pilot jet was the first thing that came to mind for me too.

I had the same thing with my 1150, messed with it all season. Turned out the the idle adjustment screw fell out on the problem side and I did not notice it all.

It dropped the slide down on that side and flooded it out.

Just something to check.

Found it, Carb boot was torn almost in half. I am shocked that I didn't burn it to the ground!!! The last ride was a 20+ mile road trip with the wife.

Lucky guy! glad you found it without burning down. I have some stock carb boots if you need one.
