03 800HO head domes

Question for all you ski Doo gurues
Was looking at a 800 HO head on Ebay and was told you could change out the domes in the head is this true? Can I do this on an 03 800HO motor?had a ring hit the rave valve and sent everything into the head . Was told if I bought the head you could change from the race domes to mountain domes (from straight line prof. ) is this something that can be done ? The man said he was a Ski Doo tech . Awaiting your help

If it is a stock head the domes do not come out. They can not be changed. If it is aftermarket like a RKT or SLP then yes you can change the dome in them.

RKT and a few others do build cheater heads, they take a stock head casting and machine out the domes, then put removable domes in them, look almost stock from outside, but have better domes in them.
