03 800 vertical escape cutting out?

I am having problems with my 03 vertical escape cutting out, I can sidehill on my left side all day long but soon as I switch to my right side it cuts out and loses all its power, Nothing is blocking the exaust, Im not sure what jets are in it but it has been running great all year untill about a month ago, I have had a rebuild on this sled this year and it ran awesome after that untill we got powder then it started to cut out and now even on hard packed on my right side it still cuts out. Any ideas?????

Get a new temp sensor. Temp sensor will change your timing map as it goes out or put you completely into limp mode. They are cheap.

How do you know it's not the exhaust being restricted??? Right side only, I would think that's about all it could be.

I bent the cover for the exaust so it kicks the snow out and yesterday while I was riding I dropped into a hole and almost didnt get out my sled would cut out of my left and right side and would not go.

Im telling you replace your temp sensor! I just had this same thing happen to my sled. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why, sled would bog out and almost die in any kind of powder it was worse on a right sidehill. I fabed up a longer exhaust deflector and it helped a little but the bog was still there. Even while going straight up long hill pulls I would loose power. Basically when ever a heavy load was on the engine it would start to die. Then I changed the temp sensor and it was cured. When the temp sensor fails it changes the timming, this reduces power and engine becomes very sensitive when anything resticts the exhaust..... like powder. Its only like $20 for a new one so just try it! If that doesn't work report back and I tell you a few other things you can check, but most likley its the temp sensor.

Ok Boxster I will try it :face-icon-small-hap haha thanks for the advise, I'll try to find out it it works or not i will let you know, I totalled my rear suspenstion so I cant ride any more this year :face-icon-small-fro
