02 rmk 800 jetting

We have a 02 rmk 800 144" bone stock except for a can. It runs rich, were at 5,000'-8,000', what changes to the jetting should we make. It's smokey and spooges. Was going to go clip leaner on needles. Are the stock pilots what we want?

I'd guess the air box is stock also, maybe I should look at that first?

I had a 2002 EDGE-X 800, STOCK with some bolt-ons, SLP head, V-Force, SLP air box mod, ran 480's in the Midwest.(1200 feet)

Brought it out to Yellowstone, set it up for 6000+ feet, jetted to 390 mains, 1 notch LEANER on the clips and it was good, rode 500+ miles that way.

I left the stock pilots in it.

After that I ran the HOLTZMAN ATAAC with the stock 500 mains.

390's will be safe. Needles in the middle. Stock pilots. Make sure the oil injection pump arm is returning/not sticking.​
