Ive got a 02 800 with slp twins and slp cheater heads... Im finding out slp is a little conservative on the jetting setup so I was wondering what people are running for 0-3000 ft 5000-6000 ft and 9000-10000 ft any info would be great. also what are people running the air/ fuel screws at. I may go to atacc is that worth it? thanks everyone

I have an 04' 800 with SLP race twins. I run 320 mains for 9000'-12000' using the stock head. 310's might be a little better yet, just haven't checked wash since going from 330's to 320's. Stock 04' needles and needle jets. Fuel screw is something like a turn and a half. Air screw, can't remember. I just kept going a little more fat on the low speed circuit until my hanging idle went away.

I think the 02's had different needles and needle jets in them. So that changes somewhat what mains will work best.

I'm no help for the low altitude though. Good luck!

The 04 800rmk has 9DGN05-57 needles in them.
A 02 has 9DGJ03-57 needles and needs bigger jets.
I u plan on runnning with a atacc you might need bigger jets then you already have, it has to be jetted for the coldest and lowest altitude.
If you dont install a atacc you migt be able to jet it slightly down.
Does it bog at moment? If so, at what rpm?

I ran 430's from 2500-6000ft, needle in the middle and 2 out on fuel screws. Mine always ran much crisper with straight jetting vs with the ATACC. I took that thing off after fighting with it for 1/2 season.
Figure 1 main jet size for every 1800-2000ft elevation change or every 20*F temp change.
'03 and newer run 6 sizes leaner on the mains and richer needles than the '02's so be careful not to compare your jetting to newer 800's

I'm running 500 mains with HTG twins at low elevation on my 2002 with a ported motor. I've run this setup down to -7 degrees without any issues while trail riding.
