01 800 summit engine RK TEK KIT 250 miles on it

I just purchased this motor a few months ago and found out it doesn't want to work in my 02 800. For some reason the 01 800 had diffrent wireing and th guy I have working on it said its to much of a pain and expensive to make my lights, instuments and mainly my reverse work again. I ran the motor for about 40 miles and it pulls real hard. I ran a 900 king cat with SLP all the way around and stayed right next to him. With my other motor he always pulled away from me. The guy I purchased it from hit a tree after only 200 miles on the motor.
