it doesn't idle high until it gets warmed up and then stays up. you can burp the choke for a second and get it to come down for a couple seconds. thanks for the help.

ill try shooting some either around the carb boots and listen for a change in idle. maybe the boots dyed out over summer
yeah, i just bough some used reeds of an 01 700 and they delaminated to hell!! the freakin boots came out of the mounts, they didnt look bad but were toast. check it out.
Larger pilot jets will help.

i used stabil when i stored it but that shouldn't have hurt the reeds would it?
high altitude compensator
so went to green water today and i checked the boots before we left. up at high elevation the rpm was at 1500 at idle????does the valve that controls the vaccum sometime stick?? i dont deal with the high altitude compensation I ride an rx-1 and this is my girlfriends sled.
