Throttle Blipping 12 step?

I love to blip the throttle on my 900 cat, and porbably do it too much, but I noticed the otherday that I blip the throttle on my GEO Metro also. I need HELP!

There is a big difference though.
When you blip the throttle on the GEO, it just kind of sits there and thinks about it for a while, whereas the Cat gets up and goes.:p

Its funny, I do that at low speed when loading and stuff and I just hopped on the 4 wheelers the other day and when I was loading it I started to do it and I just laughed at myself, no reason to do it when its got a gear box. Man I sure miss the winter!

Throttle blipper= more wear on your clutches.

You forgot: Throttle blipper= less chance of blowing a non-stock motor.

I do it all the time when coming down for WOT, but I have a cat efi 900 with many goodies and no controller box. I just do it to help cool the cylinders, not to sound COOL. :):beer;:)

I don't think there's anything wrong with that, like giving it a couple whacks when you're coming off a lake or something. But ripping around like you have a cammed out pro stocker is stupid.

Agree'd Hit it when ya need it, but I understand the urge in the Metro, lol, does that thing have 3 cylinders,:D
I hate when people are at the cabin or loading, and blip, blip, baap. bip, just F ucking drive the thing.
its like they cant handle it blipped Wide open so they can only give it half strokes,

Yep, annoying in the lots...annoying on the hill...

Understandable when coming off WoT, or mid range runnin..

Now, I only do it to help keep turbo spooled (boost) when approaching a climb/jump. :D

I like blipping to get it rolling, it seems to allow the clutches to engage a little more "sharply" and the manuals never recommend engaging softely. Also when cruising down the trail a few blips here and there satisfy my worry of running in the leaner mid-range for too long. No reason to do WFO pulls down the trail wen I can save my gas for the real riding....

I think its cool.... gives you goose bumps kinda like when watching Rocky 4. Then maybe walk around the sled like you got a beer can stuffed in each armpit.

I agree with that as my pa and brother ride mods and need to blip, especially in the midrange.

No need to blip in the parking lot or all the time though.

I blip going down the trail, modded out enough my keihin's have a nasty mid range heat spike. wouldn't mind better carbs though, but till then i'll blip away when i need to:D
