Broken Heim Joint

So we are on top of the mountain and the new half inch heim joint just snapped off on me! SUCKS to be me. Would some one please call Jeff at skins and let him know I need a replacement joint overnight

What I saw JUST after I heard that horrible PING of the Heim Joint snapping on me.

Ski should never point in this direction.

Clean sheared fracture.

Not fun - I hope you can get the parts ASAP.

I know this will sound like I am Monday morning quarterbacking - but I will throw my $0.02 in.

When I heard of guys breaking the bolts, I threw my "bad" ones into the tool pouch on the front of the sled as a back up plan on the hill.

Do you still have your old ones at home? Perhaps you could have someone run to your house and send you the old ones overnight?

Let's get the parts sent to the garabaldi resort in Squamish. We are hours from getting off the mountain. I hope someone will contact SPG for me....

Great and many thanks,Chris will be very happy.The spare sled,a NA Nitro with a 153 got stuck twice today while facing down hill.
Two of us pulling on the skies and all it did was trench deeper.
The powder here in Revy iss deep and from what I hear Pemberton will be deeper.

Skins was unable to get a replacement heim joint shipped out last night and can't get one to me before Monday. Anyone have a suggestion of where Iight be able to track one down in the vancouver/squamish/pemberton BC area?

Check with crracing in Kelowna. He makes his own nytro arms and may be able to get some rod ends.

Gotta be someguys in that area who have the front ends who have there old heims laying around no? Can skinz tell u where or who bought them that direction??

Skins just called me. They got a set of them shipped to the UPS store in Vancouver. They are supposed to arrive by noon on Saturday now. So worst case I miss Saturdays riding and drive south into town. Best case someone comes up with one that I could pick up and install tonight an still be able to ride with the group tomorrow. Or if anyone is coming through Vancouver on Saturday to join us for riding on Sunday maybe they could pick up the package for me and I will ride my spare sled with the group???

its too bad this happened . i have a few days on my skinz front end and love it . the joints are all pretty big piles of junk though , there are much better heim joints out there and available .Going to order some next week then hope it snows so i can see if i can bend them up just like i did with my skinz joints

I don't have any welding ability.
Sadly I will have to ride my backup stock nytro tomorrow on the ice cap and not get the chance to ride nytrocity. Really breaks my heart as I have been looking forward to riding her up on top for 5 months now.
