Ok guys x26 has a guestion and i'm kinda curious also, did you convert from a two-ski or are you a motorcycle rider looking for something to do in the winter and never owned a sled before?

Only machine in my garage is a twoski. Surface area and engine displacement...

Love to try a hawk, but gawddamn they're expensive and hard to come by.

Opps I guess I kinda F't that one up, I was tring to find out if the hawk riders converted from a two-ski or never owned a sled before. Guess thats why they call me CJ, stands for, see jay you f't up again, LOL

LOL. i was just gonna start a thread like this, but pretaining to all 1 ski forms. nice going. if i had one (to broke and living in florida at the moment) i'd be in the motorcyclist camp. i've had lots of friends with snowmobiles, and always been interested in them because they are another form of powersports, but they never felt enough like a motorcycle to give me what i wanted. i think most of the potential buyers for 1 ski products will most likely be motorcyclists trying to get their winter fix. because honestly, if you go over to a motorcycle forum like thumpertalk for example, all you see are winter threads of desperation started by motorcyclists going crazy with cabin fever, counting down the days till the snow melts. we hate winter. and a combo of our hatred for winter and our love of riding would be powerful enough to make us drop good money on things like the snowhawk, 2moto, explorer etc.

yeah lol..... the poll could be a little clearer.

Plentifull when we started.

I was the first to buy one new from the first Wa dealer and when two years had gone by and their only market was Ebaying to places like AK, we ignored the dealers who did not have the courage to realize what they had.

You could find several for $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 within 500 miles of anywhere.

Ignored machines were everywhere and those were the ones we encouraged inquirers to snatch up before other world markets beat them to it.

Wish I could set the clock back about six years, Hawks for all!

Taking a chance.

The machines that are plentifull are our snowmobiles and motorcycles, if trying a Snow Hawk required the sale of what you are allready believe in what's stopping you?

You can allways get them or equivilant back if it's not for you so few left they should continue to be worth what the last few selling are asking.

Every new rider we aquire will add to the call for the next generation dedicated Oneski machine, then everybody wins.

Rode motorcycles and standup jetskis since I was 9 or 10 years old. Never owed a quad. Hated and still do sit down jet skis. I never owned a nice two-ski sled, just old hand me downs. Several years ago I decided to seek out a resonably priced snowhawk. And the rest is history.

if it has a motor and handlebars,i had to have it! for me i can say it all started on 2 wheels at age 3 on a bicycle! i say BIcycle, not quad cycle. 2 wheels,no training wheels! lots of cuts and bruises and stitches on my head, but i learned. its kind of like the hawk. there was a learning curve that can be overcome. i have had motorcycles starting with a honda 50 my brother i shared that we bought for 240 dollars, then i had several 4 wheelers and 2 skis and standup jetskis(no sit downs) i got out of snowmachines back in 98 when i bought my bicycle shop, i just didnt have the time to ride and the urge to ride a 2 ski machine again....i always said if i found a sled with a twist throttle and footpegs id have to buy it! i think in 00' or 01' i caught wind of the Hawk. in 03 i was able to find one to take for a ride. i was sold when i pulled up the driveway and saw the bird sitting there against the barn and charlies shop, formerly c&r snow hawk of eden,ny. i knew after an hour ride this was the machine for me! about a year later after non stop hawk talk with my wife she decided to shut me up and hand over the cash to go get the dream machine! the rest is history.my same 503 still at home with me!

Never owned a 2 ski, neither a Quad before. I think there's so much more going on, so much more to do with a Hawk or a motorcycle. Once I get around 60-65 years old and all beat up by Hawks & bikes, I may consider buying one of these for the days that I won't be able to walk.

I would have bought a 503 in '02 if I had the money. Unfortunately, I had to wait 'til fall of '06 to buy my first Hawk...

Careful now ! Ol Bud is 65 or 66 and still goin strong on the hawks so you might hafta add a few more years of riding time ! ( dang jus gotta hate it when that happens ! ):D

I have road motorcycles my whole life dirt bikes and street bikes also grew up with Three wheelers 250 r and such then in to the quads. My first sled was a Yamaha exploder and then switched to Polaris for years. After my first ride on a 600 Hawk I went down and bought my 05 600 out of the box the following Monday. Never looked back and never will. I still ride bikes in the summer months but I pray for winter.

Another 40 years of riding ahead of me sounds pretty good! I just don't feel as invincible now as I was when I was 17... I don't know if there's steps in that kind of stuff, if you feel less and less invincible with the years...

Maybe the older guys on this forum can tell me... ! ... Whatever I'll hear, I'm pretty sure we all have around 12 years old when we open the blinds on a saturday morning and see that 18" fresh white stuff accumulated on the ground !

you know, now that im in florida for the time being im considering the stand up jet ski thing. are they a lot of fun? ive never had a sit down one, but i've ridden them and i get bored in about 20 minutes.

Love the standup. I've been hooked for close to 25 years. Have the same 650 for 15 years, just needs some refreshing. I think the snowhawk thing very closely mimicks the standup jetski riding style. And I'm with you, 5 minutes and I'm done with a sitdown at the lake.

Stand-up Jet Ski !!!

Tried that for the first time this summer (stand-up Kawi 800 big bored to I can't remember what, Jet-Ski & also tried a Yamaha Super Jet that was way tippier.) and gotta tell you guys, that was Hauuulllla't of fun ! I need one for this summer... And it was on a lake, could see how much fun i'd have at the beach with that holy Cow ! Catching waves & surfing them. Takin a break with the hot chicks laying around ! Go back to the water with your surfboard... What a F'hawkin life... !

That's really interesting to compare the 2 sports because I think a guy who rides a Stand-up Jet ski is exactly the type of guy who would ride a Hawk. That's a "parralel sport" in their own way and they're kind of reserved, let's not say reserved, let's say that they attract the type of guys who wants something challenging to ride, something that has more potential (Riding capabilities & fun potential) than the standard stuff. Because standard stuff, as you guys said, is boring after a few minutes.

Ride both and enjoy both my Hank and my sleds, just depends on the conditions, the destination and the group which is a better choice for me.
