Corona, CA - Ice oval short track racing, the oldest and most storied form of snowmobile racing, comes to MAVTV starting on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 11:30 a.m. ET.
The Ice Oval Championship series will consist of six, 30-minute shows highlighting the racing action of the Country Cat Snodown Racing Festival at the Buffalo River Race Park in Glyndon, MN.
“National television is no stranger to ice oval snowmobile broadcast history,” says SNODOWN Event Director Lindsey Fontaine. “The hay days of the late ‘70s and the early ‘80s featured World Championships and crown jewel events across the United States and Canada. Our goal is to bring back a historic sport to a new audience on MAVTV. We want to capture the intense racing action and prove to viewers that snowmobile ice oval racing is the best show on ice.”
