9. The tMotion Suspension works in harmony with the Rev Gen4 platform. The tMotion flexes laterally, which in turn reduces rider effort to initiate a roll. This is accomplished by designing a ball joint at the center hinge between the rear arm and drop link and split flat-tube front arms. The flex is very subtle, but enough to start the weight transfer that allows you to bring your snowmobile up on an edge. The tMotion rear suspension features HPG Plus shocks with 9.4 inches of travel.
10. The Powdermax Light Track with Flexedge offers just one more area of flexible travel. A new 3.5-inch pitch reduces weight and puts more snow between lugs for added performance. Ski-Doo’s exclusive 16-inch track width delivers increased flotation and traction. However, the track edges flex to reduce the effort to initiate side roll, delivering the best of all worlds.
11. Ski-Doo has gone from wider ski stances to narrower ski stances. The 2019 Summit allows for as narrow as 35.8 inches. When you match that with the narrow design in the Rev Gen4 chassis, you have a snowmobile that actually starts to give you the handling agility of a snowbike.
12. Designed specifically for the mountains, Ski-Doo engineers focused on keeping the profile of the Summit 850 as narrow as possible to allow it to glide through the snow. In the past, a lot of Ski-Doo’s floatability has been hindered by its body design. But with the narrow body panels, bottom pan, tunnel and profile running boards, plowing has virtually been eliminated. An open tunnel end eliminates drag.
