Polaris 850 Patriot vs 800 H.O. Cleanfire

The Case for the Pro RMK 800 H.O. Cleanfire

Smoking deals if you want to save money on a new sled. Retail price on the 2019 Pro RMK 800 155 starts at $12,899. The 850 155 starts at $13,599. And you can bet there will be some rebates going on the 800s this season. Plus, if you don’t have to have a 2019 800, you can score a hold-over RMK 800 for a couple grand less than that if you find the right deal.

Proven engine since 2016. No reason to think the 800 H.O. Cleanfire is a slouch. It has great response and great lift through deep snow. It’s still the lightest sled on snow (lighter then the 850 by a handful of pounds). Its power-to-weight ratio is nothing to scoff at.

Slim stance. The 2019 Pro RMK 800 gets the new REACT front suspension, which has new A-arms and spindles. It’s also narrower, with a 36-38 adjustable ski stance. That alone is a significant improvement on the 2018 Pro RMK 800.

For 2019, it’s the best RMK if you don’t need the 850 power but want more than a 600. Not everyone is in the “must have the latest and greatest” category. If that’s you, the 2019 Pro RMK 800 is the best Pro RMK 800 yet.

Just look at all those RMSHA hillclimb wins since 2016.
