There is major potential to regain our public lands in Beaverhead County (Montana) that was designated a WSA (Wilderness Study Area) more than 40 years ago.
Every forest and travel plan since 2001 has closed motorized use in WSAs and RWAs. Some of our best riding zones have been shut down and it’s time to take a stand. Senator Steve Daines and Representative Greg Gianforte are sponsoring bills that will remove this 40-year-old study period and open it back up to the public for multiple uses.
The deadline is Aug. 6, so help keep the momentum rolling for our enjoyment and future generations to come. E-mail jjackson@beaverheadcounty.org with your thoughts and tell them why reopening WSAs and RWAs will be good for Montana.
