Polaris Vs. Ski-Doo Vs. Arctic Cat

Published in the March 2018 Issue April 2018 Snow Tests, Feature, Arctic Cat, Column, Polaris, Ski-Doo Steve Janes

BRAKE

1) Ski-Doo. The shape of the brake lever conforms well to a one- or two-finger grip. Also, the park brake is relatively easy to set.

2) Polaris. The lever design and pull work better with two or more fingers. But the park brake is by far the hardest to set.

3) Arctic Cat. Although the park brake is the easiest to set, and the brake pull work well for two fingers, the length of the lever becomes an issue in the trees and can be inadvertently pressed by tree branches at some inopportune times.
