Polaris Vs. Ski-Doo Vs. Arctic Cat

HANDLEBARS

1) Ski-Doo. The bar shape is very comfortable. The bar length is 30.5 inches wide but the throttle-to-brake distance can be adjusted from about 16 inches to 19 inches very easily. The bars are not cluttered and are clearly marked for adjustments.

2) Arctic Cat. The 30-inch design is comfortable for the rider. However, with the controls mounted on the bars, the throttle-to-brake reach is locked in at 18 inches. And you tend to feel engine vibration coming through the bars.

3) Polaris. The bars are the narrowest at 29.75 inches, but the hooks are sometimes not the most comfortable. The throttle to brake distance is locked in at 18.5 inches.

Note: Some riders prefer wider bars. But when you’re looking for staying centered on your machine in the mountains, the narrower the throttle-to-brake reach, the easier to maintain leverage on your sled.
