Quick-Disconnect Link

Another simple install is the Ski-Doo Quick-Disconnect Link (#860200811). The idea here is to have the best of two worlds—a sway bar that keeps the snowmobile flat through the bumps while on the trail and no sway bar to allow the skis to work independently while sidehilling.

The disconnect link allows you to easily remove the link that connects the sway bar to the A-arm on the left side of the snowmobile (you only need to remove one side to free up the independent movement of the skis). The Quick-Disconnect is attached by two bolts. It’s merely the process of removing the bolts on the existing link and replacing it with the Quick-Disconnect Link … less than 20 minutes.

However, much to our surprise, the Freeride comes stock with the Quick-Disconnect Link. So again, we switched the install to the Summit X.
