Every single update done to the 18 Sno Pro is a very welcome change. They have transformed this outdated machine into a modern work of art that will hold it’s own with anything on the mountain. Once you ride the 18, it’s hard to go back to the original proclimb. The narrow body work transforms this sled into a tree slaying machine that can cling to some seriously steep sidehills.
The new motor is crazy responsive and no longer has the infamous low end bog that the past motor was known for. Even the little updates to the suspension were very noticeable and made the sled feel very predictable. The revised clutching setup is flat out impressive and something you need to feel to really appreciate, it’s an odd feeling having the clutches engage firmly at such a low RPM but feels like it was meant to be and we definitely don't miss trying to mess around with belt deflection!
Here's what our SnoWest test riders had to say about the 18.
"The '18 M8000 Sno Pro is so much more than a new engine. Although that new 800 Ctec2 engine pulls harder and is more responsive than the Suzuki it's replacing. The running boards, the suspension changes, the narrow body all make this feel like an all-new machine. " - Ryan Harris
"The new Cat is easier to ride, quicker to respond and better behaved in terrain. This new look is going to turn a lot of heads on the mountain." - Steve Janes
"Remember how big of a jump it was from the IQ to the PRO chassis? The 18 is that much better than it's predecessors. This feels like an entirley new sled."- Taylor Fisk
If you’ve been on the fence about making the switch to Arctic Cat this new 18 Sno Pro could be the ticket. It is by far the best sled Arctic Cat has ever produced and will give the rest of the competition a very tough run for their money.
Oh and by the way, these sleds are shipping to dealers as we speak so you could be riding one of these right now!
