In what has turned into a time honored "kick-off" to cross country snowmobile racing, the Gerald Dyrdahl Memorial-Pine Lake 200 will be coming your way on Jan. 7-8 once again this year on beautiful Pine Lake, just south of Gonvick, MN.
In what is turning into a truly historic event, you can expect speeds of 118 mph in the Minnesota vs Michigan Pro Open challenge race on Saturday, as well as the best of the best Pro riders in the United States and Canada battling it out on Sunday for the Gerald Dyrdahl Memorial Pro 600 class. The last few years the top finishers have all been within 2-5 seconds of each other after 100 miles. Last year’s (first time ever Pine Lake) winner, Corey Davidson of Holt MN, took home $13,000 in cash and factory contingencies. The total purse in all classes remarkably exceeded $70,000.
USXC and the local non-profit promoter, Five Star Motorsports Promotions, is hopeful to exceed that amount this year if it gets another great crowd and yet another year of great racing.
USXC Racing has 21 classes of racing from Pros down thru juniors. Racing starts at 9 a.m. each day.
