Plymouth, MN – Team Arctic’s mountain race team staked its claim at The Ultimate Snowmobiler Hillclimb, winning seven classes and capturing 16 podium positions at the RMSHA event in Crested Butte, CO, aboard Arctic Cat M-Series snowmobiles with the ProClimb chassis.
David McClure once again proved the winning combination of his talent and the power of a Speedwerx-tuned Arctic Cat 600 DSI C-TEC2 engine, taking wins in both the 600 Improved and 700 Improved. It was a similar story for Russ Tapio, who prevailed in the 600 Mod.
Still basking in the afterglow of his King of Kings title at the Jackson World Championships, Kyle Tapio scorched runs up Crested Butte Mountain to win both the 700 Mod and 1000 Improved classes. And Todd Tupper continued his impressive series of Masters class victories in RMSHA events this season with another win in the Improved class.
“The one constant in hillclimb competition is that our racers continue to win and finish on the podium in multiple classes and categories,” said Mike Kloety, Team Arctic race manager. “That’s a testament to their talent and effort, as well as the performance and unmatched durability of our M-Series snowmobiles.”
The next RMSHA hillclimb is April 15-16 at Beaver Mountain Lodge in Utah.
