The Vintage Snowmobile Hillclimb Association (VSHA) was founded in 2015 by a group of friends with a love for the sport and the desire to include families and vintage racers from the past and present.
In 2014, former RMSHA racers Carson, Brett and Colton Ellingford and some of their friends decided to organize a hillclimb close to home at Bucking Brush, south of Evanston, WY, using their own and local vintage snowmobiles. There was enough interest that they organized a second hillclimb in Cokeville, WY, at Pine Creek Ski Resort, which attracted some of the RMSHA racers. This led to the creation of VSHA.
Although VSHA was founded in 2015, Mother Nature prevented the association from racing in their debut year because of low snow levels. Not discouraged, the organizers have a full lineup scheduled for 2016 that is open to eight classes.
A full set of rules are available upon request or on the association’s Facebook page: Vintage Snowmobile Hillclimb Association. Contact the association through Todd Griffith at (307) 679-4255 or toddg@norco-inc.com or through Carson Ellingford at (307) 679-5880.
