We got a note from a California snowmobiler, alerting us to a potential loss of snowmobile riding areas in California.
Joe Harvey tells us the Stanislaus National Forest in California is trying to close a lot of the forest to OSV use. He points out there is even a snowpark (Round Valley) in that area that is paid for with state OSV funds but is closed to OSV use.
We only have until Aug. 10 to comment. Please submit comment on the Forest Service website http://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=46311. On the right of the screen hit “Comment on Project” and let them know we do not want any areas closed to snowmobiling.
