There are a couple of fundraisers going on that will greatly benefit the Idaho State Snowmobile Association’s legal defense fund. One fundraiser is being conducted by the Mt. Harrison Snowmobile Club and the other by the McCall Area Snowmobile Club.
Here are the details on each one.
The Mt. Harrison Snowmobile Club is presents PLAY Forever, with PLAY standing for Public Lands And You.
If you love the use of our play areas, be it fishing or camping or sledding and ATVing along with motorcycles and other off-road vehicles, you know there are groups that are trying to take away our rights to drive anything motorized into our mountains. Road by road and area by area will close until we can’t go in at all or you’re completely on foot.
The PLAY Forever fundraiser begins with a banquet April 11. All the proceeds from this banquet (after the bills are paid) will go to help ISSA’s legal defense fund to do battle with the ones who want to keep us out of public lands. There is also an anonymous person who will match all donations collected so your help is appreciated.
The banquet is at the Rupert Elks on April 11 with a social hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. This is a pre-pay event so event organizers need to have a head count for dinner and request an RSVP by April 6. The cost is $20 per adult and $10 per child under 12 years old.
Ten raffle tickets come with your dinner. If you are a standing member of the Mt. Harrison Snowmobile Club you get two tickets for the $100 Visa cards giveaway. New members get one ticket for the $100 Visas. There are lots of raffle prizes.

The other fundraiser, held by the McCall Area Snowmobile Club, which has created a challenge for others to participate in. The McCall Area Snowmobile Club will match up to a total of $1000 to all members or local residents that donate to the legal fund. Donations can be sent to the club but the checks should be made out to the Idaho State Snowmobile Association.
The ISSA is a (501)C3 organization so your donation is tax deductible. The MASC Club is a (501)C7 organization and it is a bit different. The club will then send your checks on to the ISSA, along with its matching amount.
The club asks that you send your check in before its next meeting on April 8.
