Whether it be the 2016 SR Viper MTX in the 141 package, the 153 package or 162 package, you will certainly have something that will fit your riding style and deep powder needs.
The 2016 Yamaha SR Viper MTX lineup may not be turning heads at the Box Office, but it’s certainly causing some second looks on the snow as 15 new models have been introduced for 2016.
Although color packages are likely to be the first thing snowmobilers notice, those who look a little closer will see some significant changes, particularly with the suspension.
The rear skid changes may be very subtle to the eye, but once you hit the deep fluff, you will see how it is designed to allow the track to get up out of the snow even better. It is designed to take advantage of Yamaha’s five new tracks on their SRViper M-TX lineup—the 141x2.25, 153x2.6, 153x3, 162x2.6 and 162x3 Powder Claw tracks.
Some snowmobilers won’t help but notice what’s up front. All new A-arms, spindles and skis are designed to enhance a 36-inch ski stance that will bust through powder. And for those who like a little more up front, the ski stance is adjustable out to 38-inches making this beauty perfect for all occasions.
With the variety of options available, these 15 models in the mountain lineup surely offer something for everyone in 2016.
By the time the 2016s roll off the production line for next fall, and all these new pieces are fine-tuned and calibrated, we expect a great mountain sled that will be competitive for years to come.
