powermadd buys cobra windshields

Overheard at Hay Days and now confirmed, PowerMadd has bought Cobra windshields from Sportech Inc.
The Burnsville, Minn., aftermarket products maker says it has purchased the entire snowmobile and ATV windshield product line. Consumers should be able to buy Cobra windshields through their normal outlets.
PowerMadd's President Randy Shimanski says the company will continue making quality Cobra windshields and already is working on new designs for newer model snowmobiles and ATVs.
Sportech President Chris Carlson says the deal allows his firm, based in Elk River, Minn., to focus on meeting the needs of original equipment manufacturers and avoids any conflicts between the Cobra brand and those the firm makes for the OEMs.
