The Minnesota Wild is a new National Hockey League expansion team that had its first season this last year. And, in its inaugural season, they were sponsored by Polaris- a Minnesota company. Polaris vehicles are the official outdoor sports enthusiast vehicles of the Minnesota Wild.
"If you ride a snowmobile, ATV, motorcycle or personal watercraft, you're obviously a thrill-seeker," said Polaris CEO Tom Tiller. "Hockey fanatics are thrill-seekers too, so this partnership makes a ton of sense for both Polaris and the Wild."
If you caught a game on ESPN or CNN/SI this past year, you likely saw the Polaris logo on the boards at the Wild's home games- in the new Xcel Energy Center. Polaris vehicles were also used between periods for fan contests.
