Value is key
We all want versatility without the cost. That’s where the Voyager steps in as a ‘do-it-all’ crossover sled, for those on a budget. We would say this one falls into the ‘Enduro Venture’ market segment more closely with Polaris’ Adventure sleds and Arctic Cat’s Crosstour. Voyager comes in a 600cc liquid Cleanfire twin fuel injected model and a less exciting 550cc fan-cooled model. We highly suggest the 600, even though the fan is cost conscious at $7,499, the 550 does not have quite enough power to do all that most people will ask of this sled. At just $10,299 the Cleanfire 600 is competitive price-wise with most any other 600 sleds on the market in any segment. We have loved this 600 motor for years as it puts out a healthy amount of HPs and has been reliable since it was first introduced seven model years ago now... how time flies! This sled has the standard P85 primary clutch and the fairly new P2 secondary clutch.

Plus, you get a lot more on the Voyager. This one has the fantastic off-trail capability of a 15x144x2-inch Series 4 powder track. This is a real off-trail machine cloaked in useful features like a new Indy-style Pro-Ride seat that is wide where it needs to be, but contoured where you want to hug the tank. The cargo rack can hold all kinds of gear and for fishermen; a 5-gallon pail easily fits inside it. This one is built for off-trail picking. The new gripper skis are wide, built for powder snow, have a deep keel, and the tops are ribbed for easy grip with your boots if you are standing on the skis in deep snow. An adjustable ski stance from 39-41 inches is standard. Tunnel supports dress up the sled and are functional for when you ‘accidentally’ find that hole that was snow camouflaged.

The off-trail goodies keep going with an extreme front bumper for bark busting, towing or pushing. A tall windshield will keep you warm and keep branches from battering you through tight trees and brush. You can set your kill switch however you would like as well (important for many off-trail riders) because it is separate from the throttle block.

Above the skis are Ryde FX coil over shocks on the Pro Ride RMK-style front- end, and these give great cush for your arms and body. This sled is a light-feeling 498 pounds dry, which is pretty good for a 144-inch long machine with all the weight adding extras on here. The standard-style tunnel, much like the Switchback Assault 600 (also new this year) helps keep the weight down and gives the sled a more rugged and tough look and feel. Not using the Pro-Ride rear-end for this sled was the right move for many reasons including weight, ease of adding aftermarket storage, off-trail capability and more.

It has an RMK mountain rear skid with soft RYDE FX MPV gas front and rear shocks. Voyager is aimed at an off-trail or utility type crowd. So is the 3.5-inch handlebar riser and mountain grab strap on the bars. PERC reverse is appreciated here and so is the standard electric start.
