(ED-We received a copy of this poem from Hunter's grandparents, who are obviously very proud of their grandson. It was written as a Father's Day present to his dad. Hunter was the 2009 WORCS 50cc quad champion. We're told his family no longer races and that his quad has been replaced with a motorcycle but his real passion is for snowmobiling. We thought his poem was worth a post on our webpage.)
I am a good guy who likes snowmobiling.
I wonder if I will grow up to be a famous snowmobiler.
I hear a thundering crack of a throttle.
I see a good guy getting a high mark.
I want an adventure of a life time.
I am a good guy who likes snowmobiling.
I pretend I'm riding my dad's snowmobile.
I feel vibrating of handles.
I touch a trophy.
I worry I will crash.
I cry when people have been injured.
I am a good guy who likes snowmobiling.
I understand that I probably won't be a famous snowmobiler.
I say some day I will be a famous snowmobiler.
I dream that I was in the world record book for hi marking.
I try to be a better snowmobiler every weekend.
I hope to be a famous snowmobiler.
I am a good guy who likes snowmobiling.
Just like you dad.
